Adapting and listening. Building a package which feels very personalized. Being really responsive.
Great flexibility to plan training around other life events and injury/illness
Ewan has given me some Buddhist-level ability to cope with whatever happens. As well as listening, giving me some flexible, varied and entertaining training to do, and helping me to run quite fast for a long time.
Having a good plan at the start is the easy bit, being able to adapt it daily based on how things were going is what made it worth it.
I like that training is never set more than 2-3 weeks out. It’s clearly set after considering how I am currently doing. A million miles away from those pre-canned “12 week marathon plan” type coaching services
Adapted the plan based on my needs
Working with me. Asking thoughtful questions. Listening. supportive. Adapting the programme to meet my needs. Your tone is measured and experience is invaluable. There is something about your pragmatism that builds confidence and trust.
It’s a very collaborative process, and very adaptable to me and my personal needs, which is great.
Training plans were flexible week-to-week, adapting to changing race plans and felt collaborative, responding to what I felt was working and/or what sessions got me fired up about marathon training while allowing me to survive to the next week
